What We Do

Our Practice Areas

Six core areas of legal expertise, delivered with precision and integrity from our Johannesburg offices.

01

Civil & Commercial Litigation

When legal disputes arise — between businesses, individuals, or both — you need an attorney who combines strategic thinking with courtroom experience. Our litigators appear regularly in the Magistrates' Court and High Court of South Africa, handling everything from urgent applications to complex commercial trials.

We advise on pre-litigation strategy, represent clients in settlement negotiations, and provide tenacious representation if a matter proceeds to court. Our goal is always the best possible outcome — achieved as efficiently as possible.

02

Labour Law

South African labour law is complex and constantly evolving. Whether you are an employer seeking to manage your workforce lawfully or an employee whose rights have been violated, our labour attorneys provide clear, practical guidance.

We handle CCMA matters, Labour Court proceedings, disciplinary hearings, retrenchment processes and employment contract reviews. Our advice is commercial and realistic — we understand that employment disputes need resolution, not endless escalation.

We also advise on disputes between landlords and tenants, sectional title and homeowners' association matters, and zoning and development issues.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Bring any documents relevant to your matter — contracts, correspondence, court papers, title deeds, or employment records. The more context we have, the more accurate our assessment will be. Don't worry if you don't have everything — we can work with what you have and guide you on what else to gather.
Urgent matters — such as interdict applications or eviction proceedings — are prioritised. If you contact us with an urgent legal need, we will assess it same-day and advise on immediate steps. South African courts can grant urgent relief within 24–48 hours when the facts warrant it.
Yes. While our offices are based in Johannesburg, we advise clients across South Africa. Many matters can be handled remotely via email, phone and video. Where personal attendance is required, we will advise you accordingly and make appropriate arrangements.
The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) is a dispute resolution body for labour matters in South Africa. When an employee refers an unfair dismissal or unfair labour practice dispute, it must first go to the CCMA for conciliation. If unresolved, it proceeds to arbitration or the Labour Court. We represent both employers and employees through this process.
Our fees vary by matter type and complexity. We provide a written fee estimate before commencing any work. Some matters are billed at an hourly rate, others at fixed fees (such as conveyancing or will drafting). We discuss fee structures openly so there are no surprises on your invoice.
